Virtual Memory Box

Successfully launching a GTM strategy for a new tech-for-good startup aimed at Local Authorities.

Who

Virtual Memory Box is a safe, accessible online tool that enables young people in care to store key moments that could be otherwise lost or forgotten, all in one place. Users can explore the memories using a chronological timeline, with both adults and young people having the ability to add content which builds a narrative and helps them understand their life story.

Why

Virtual Memory box had been built in a partnership between South Tyneside Council and Nebula Labs. After a successful pilot they decided to roll the product out and offer it to other councils but had no established plan or method on how to do this so they reached out for help.

How

Initially, we conducted research to gain a detailed picture of the key decision makers to target within social care. Once we had established the correct titles, we built a comprehensive data list of all of the Local Authorities in the UK and the people who were in these roles. We enriched these with publicly available email addresses and built a sequenced cold outreach campaign. To move leads through the stages of know, like and trust, we invited them to webinars on ‘how technology is helping shape life story work’.

Result

Within 3 months, the GTM strategy generated over 30 leads with Executive Directors at local authorities across the UK which has lead to new customers. Virtual Memory Box is on track to becoming a sustainable and profitable business that is creating real benefit to people in our society that need help the most.

"Quickly resulted in 30+ qualified demos with Executive Directors at councils throughout the UK."
